Privacy Policy

This policy explains what CaptionXs collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: email address, name (optional), mobile number, country and a password, which we store only as a secure hash.
• Content you upload: videos and audio, plus the transcripts, captions and exports made from them, and your saved word list.
• Payments: the plan you chose, the amount, your payment method, the Payment ID, and any transaction ID you send. Payment screenshots you send on WhatsApp stay in that chat. We never receive your card, wallet PIN or bank login.
• Technical data: the IP address you signed up from (to limit free-account abuse), login sessions, and usage such as minutes transcribed and renders made.

How we use it

• To run the service: transcribing, translating, transliterating and rendering your captions.
• To manage your account, plan, minutes and payments, and to prevent abuse of free minutes.
• To contact you about your account, for example password-reset links and payment confirmations.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your uploads to train our own models.

Service providers

Depending on the language and engine, parts of your content are processed by these providers, under their own terms:

• Speech recognition: ElevenLabs and Sarvam AI receive audio. Many jobs run entirely on our own server with open-source models (IndicConformer, Whisper) and are not shared with anyone.
• Transliteration and translation: Google Gemini or Sarvam AI receive transcript text.
• Email: Resend sends account emails such as password resets.
• Fonts: Google Fonts serves the typefaces used in the app and site.
• Hosting: our servers and their hosting provider store the data described here.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded media, renders and job files are deleted automatically 7 days after they are created.
• Account, payment and usage records are kept while your account is open, and payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your choices

• You can see and download your captions and exports while they are stored, and change your word list at any time.
• You can ask us to correct your details or delete your account. Contact us at WhatsApp +92 300 1531966.
• You can revoke plugin API keys from your account page at any time.

Security

Passwords, login sessions and API keys are stored only as hashes. Connections use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

CaptionXs is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
